Makerspaces: thinkerspaces

Imagination is more important than knowledge. -Albert Einstein

September: CWMS Cardboard Challenge

At the heart of "making"  is the idea that we are all naturally creative and curious. Leaders can help foster this natural creativity by giving guidance, context and support; it doesn’t take much more than a little time and space. Creative play intersects a variety of principles and practice from educational theory, like project-based learning, constructivism and design thinking with a growth mindset.

Our school is putting more and more emphasis on learning through building and hands-on experiences. The STEM Maker Station provides loads of flexible options that allows Falcons to explore and invent with everything from robotic parts to paints with tools and other manipulatives that support problem-solving and the creative process.  With a sturdy frame and focus, our media center will foster this collaboration with design and create.

Imagine - Experiment - Test - Learn - Repeat
