I had heard of Typhoid Mary and knew a few details of her impact on history, but not until this book had I ever read about her. It was an eyeopening example of one person's effect on their time, but also how the media has ALWAYS been able to manipulate a story for their own gain.
This book was such a fast read. It was very informative of the people involved in solving one source of typhoid during the US's Industrial Revolution. This book was on the 2016-17 Battle of the Books list and was used with our rising 6th graders as a summer read for Ready, Set, Lead! Program.
